Hello & thank you for taking the time to visit my website!  If you'd like to know a little about me
(the person you'll have touching & pushing on your horse), read below.

According to my baby book, I had my first contact with horses when I was 11 months old, sitting
on the back of my aunt's horse, Twilight.  Though I grew up "horseless", I took English riding lessons
as a kid and fell in love with horses.  I can remember the name of every horse I rode, but
especially loved a retired police horse named Freedom.
When it came time to find a career I would
love, I knew it had to involve horses.  I wanted to
help them, but couldn't handle the thought of putting a horse down and quickly ruled out a
veterinary career.  After much research, I decided to follow my dream and pursued my Equine
Sports Massage Therapist certification at Equissage, the country's oldest equine massage school.
(Granted, though equine massage was used by the ancient Greek cavalry, it is relatively new in
the U.S. - Equissage was opened in 1989.)
Since my certification in July 2005, I have found what I absolutely love to do --
what could be better than working with horses & making them feel good?!

I love that
every time I do a massage, anyone standing around can see the horse reacting, you
see an immediate effect that
lasts, and it's non-invasive, so there aren't any negative
side-effects like drugs produce.  I love that owners see it every time, too; they see them react
throughout the massage and, after the massage, they always tell me that they can
immediately see a change in their horse; the way he/she holds him/herself, a change in
demeanor/disposition, and the difference they later feel in their ride.
I am also a Certified Massage Tech. (for people).  If you've never had a massage or
would like to see for yourself what my hands can do, I would be more than happy to perform
some techniques on your shoulder after your horse is massaged.  For more information on human
massage, please see my Cloud9 page on this website.  (Via the toolbar above)
I love working with, being around, and riding horses.  I feel lucky & grateful to work with them
and provide a service that makes them feel better, and helps them perform better for their
owner.
It's my belief that we, as animal owners, have a responsibility to take care of our animals to our
utmost ability, as they can't always voice how they're feeling (at least not in English), but they're
always there for us.  I'm dedicated to happy, healthy horses and since you've taken the time to
visit my site, I'm sure you are, too!  Thank you so much for visiting!!

Sincerely,
