After I thoroughly researched for the country’s best equine massage school, I settled on
Equissage© because of one reason: Mary Schreiber.  She runs Equissage© and literally wrote
the book (the textbook) on equine massage.  Always expanding her knowledge of equine
massage, Mary also had the opportunity to learn from Jack Meagher before he passed.  (Jack
Meagher brought equine massage to the United States via the 1976 Montreal USET Olympic
team.)
Mary is the official equine sports massage therapist of the Gold Cup
at Devon & Dressage at Devon and was invited to give a presentation at
Equitana 91 in Essen, Germany.
She has been featured in Sports Illustrated, on ABC’s
National Health Show, and has written the textbook for equine massage, which is widely used at
equine massage schools across North America.
Over 1,000 people have attended and graduated from her Equissage© program from every
state in the union and over 14 countries around the world.  I was lucky enough to learn directly
from Mary and was certified at Equissage as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist in July '05.

I have been so impressed with the reactions I see in horses (I see them every time), I decided to
learn how to massage humans.  I was certified November 2006 and I love it just as much as I
love massaging horses.  There is nothing like massage to make all of your physical & mental
stress just melt away.  Click on Cloud9 (above) to schedule a private appointment o

Did you know...?

Equine massage is a lost
art that has been practiced
for over 3,000 years.  It was
originally developed by the
Greeks, who massaged
their human & equine
warriors to prepare them
for battle.  Later, Russians
developed pre- &
post-event massages to
warm-up & cool-down their
human athletes.

found the work of Equissage
practitioners to be
indispensable in the
uninterrupted training of my

her special brand of massage
therapy are an integral part
and absolute necessity in all
